here is an example using a Cal 20:

Option 1: Ownership

Option 2: Rental from another agency
(Not normally available in the Victoria area)

Option 3: ClubSail with OBSS
(Subject to vacancy)

Buy a Cal 20: approx $3000

Moorings: $2400/yr Insurance: $175/yr
Maintenance: $250/yr

Annual Costs $2825/yr

If you sail 15 half days per year, each sail will cost you:

$188

Plus you will be out $3000!

Rent a Cal 20 on a casual basis

Rate $100 per half day upwards (even if available)

If you sail 15 half days per year each sail will cost you:

$100

Join Club Sail: $150 per month + HST
(three month minimum membership)

One time initial joining fee: $250.

Unlimited Cal 20 sailing (subject to booking)..
If you sail 15 half days per year, say 3 per month over 5 months

Once you have joined for $250, each Cal 20 sail will cost you

$50

( and no capital expenditure!)

No insurance! No moorings!
No maintenance! No Fuel costs

No worries!

A NO BRAINER!

We also have availble for club sail daily use a Catalina 27, more of a family boat, with toilet and cooker etc. which can also be taken away overnight and weekends etc for a small additional charge. ($50 per night)

Booking etiquette!
(The boats are only available for use by club sail members.)

   - Unlimited daily sailing subject to availability
   - Bookings no more than 7 days in advance
   - Up to 8 hrs weekdays/4hrs weekends - (can be extended to 8 hrs at weekend if boat available)
   - Maximum 4 persons per boat
   - Must have ‘Member Skipper’ on board
   - No sub-letting
   - Cancellations to be notified ASAP
   - Prices are subject to GST

Required certification level - Competent Crew and/or check out.
